3/23 -&nbsp;Advancing Fair Access to Housing and Employment:&nbsp;The Erie County Human Relations Commission (ECHRC) will host "Advancing Fair Access to Housing and Employment" on March 23 at 1:00 PM at Gannon University, Waldron Campus Center, Room 219.
January:
1/21 - Erie County Poll Workers to Take Oath of Office:&nbsp;Erie County poll workers will take the Oath of Office, affirming their commitment to uphold the integrity of elections and to ensure a free and fair election for all Erie County residents. The swearing-in ceremonies will be held in Courtroom H of the Erie County Courthouse, located at 140 W. Sixth Street. The ceremonies are scheduled as follows:

January 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., presided over by the Honorable Peter J. Sala
January 22, 2026 at 9:30 a.m., presided over by the Honorable David G. Ridge

1/15 -&nbsp;&nbsp;The Erie County Elections "I Voted" Sticker Design Contest is now open for public voting!&nbsp;:&nbsp; Voting closes on February 5, 2026, and the winning design will be announced on February 10, 2026.

12/5 -  Erie County Departments of Elections and Voter Registration extend deadline for "I Voted" Sticker Contest :   The deadline has been extended. All entries must be submitted electronically by January 9, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Late entries will not be accepted
November:
11/12 - The Special Meeting of Erie County Council scheduled for today at 6:00PM has been cancelled : Items under consideration will now be discussed during the Finance Meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 4:00PM in Room 114A of the Erie County Courthouse
September:
9/2 - I-Voted Sticker Contest: The contest is open to all Erie County students in grades 9-12. Each participant may submit up to two designs. The winning artwork will be featured as the official I-Voted sticker for the 2026 Primary and General Elections. 
9/17 - Nine Fort LeBoeuf Students Receive Governor's Award for Civic Engagement : The Governor's Civic Engagement Award is presented by the Pennsylvania Departments of State and Education. It celebrates the efforts of Pennsylvania high school students to educate, engage and inform their fellow students about how to get involved in the voting process. The Student Poll Worker Program is open to high school students, 17 years of age and older, who are provided training on how Election Day works at the polls. They are then placed into Erie County's 149 precincts to assist voters during the elections. The program is a positive way to provide outreach and engage the next generation of poll workers, and it allows students the opportunity to directly impact their community. Erie County is proud of its student poll workers and joins the state in recognizing the recipients of this year's Governor's Award from Fort LeBoeuf High School.
