What’s Next: The 2025 Municipal Election
The upcoming 2025 Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Important Dates
- June 20th – Last day to submit Cycle 3 post-primary Campaign Finance Reports
- August 1st – Deadline to circulate and file Nomination Papers for third-party candidates
- August 8th – Deadline to withdraw Nomination Papers for third-party candidates
- August 8th – Deadline to file objections to Nomination Papers for third-party candidates
- August 11th – Deadline to withdraw for candidates nominated at the primary (Primary Election winners)
- October 20th – Last day to register to vote in the November election
- October 24th – Last day to submit Cycle 5 pre-election Campaign Finance Reports
- October 28th – Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot
- November 4th – Municipal Election Day
Getting Registered
There are three ways to get registered to vote in Erie County, Pennsylvania:
- Filling out an online form on the official Commonwealth of Pennsylvania website
- Downloading, printing, and mailing a paper application to us at the address below:

To vote in Pennsylvania, you must meet the below requirements:
- Register at least 15 days before the next election.
- Be a citizen of the United States for at least one month before the election.
- Be a resident of Pennsylvania and the election district in which you want to register and vote for at least 30 days before the next election.
- Be at least 18 years of age on or before the day of the next election.
