Who Can Register?
To vote in Pennsylvania, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of the United States for at least one month before the election.
 - Be a resident of Pennsylvania and the election district in which you want to register and vote for at least 30 days before the next election.
 - Be at least 18 years of age on or before the day of the next election.
 
How to Register
Apply Online
You can fill out an online voter application form up until 15 days before the upcoming election. Be sure to have your PA Driver's License or PennDOT ID handy prior to filling out your application, as they will be needed to verify your identity before submission.
Paper Application
Step 1: Download and print the paper voter registration form.

Obtain a paper voter registration form in-person by visiting the Erie County Voter Registration Office.
Step 2: Once completed, the application should be mailed or physically submitted to:

 - State Representatives Office
 - Wine and Liquor stores
 - County assistance office
 - Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program offices
 - Armed Forces recruitment centers
 - County clerk of orphans’ courts or marriage license office
 - Agencies on aging
 - County mental health and intellectual disabilities offices
 - Student disability services offices of the State System of Higher Education
 - Offices of special education in high schools
 - PennDOT photo and driver's license center offer automatic voter registration, providing eligible Pennsylvanians with a convenient way to register to vote when they obtain a new driver's license or ID card or renew their existing identification.
 - Americans with Disabilities Act-mandated complementary paratransit providers.
 
Updating Your Registration
You can update your voter registration online, by mail, or in person by using the voter registration application form and checking the correct box at the top of the form.
You can request a change at any time. However, the deadline to request a change for a particular election is 15 days before that election.

Cancel Your Registration
You may submit a cancellation of registration request at any time. However, the deadline to make any changes to your registration is 15 days before any election.
