The 2026 General Election

The 2026 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Important Dates:

  • August 3rd - Deadline to circulate and file Nomination Papers
  • August 10th - Deadline to withdraw Nomination Papers
  • August 10th - Deadline to file objections to Nomination Papers
  • August 10th - Deadline for Primary winners to withdraw
  • October 19th - Deadline to register or update registration (General)
  • October 27th - Deadline to apply for a mail ballot
  • November 3rd - General Election

Getting Registered

There are three ways to get registered to vote in Erie County, Pennsylvania:

  1. Filling out an online form on the official Commonwealth of Pennsylvania website
  2. Downloading, printing, and mailing a paper application to us at the address below:

  3. In-person at the address above, or at a PennDOT photo and driver's license center location near you.

To vote in Pennsylvania, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Register at least 15 days before the next election.
  • Be a citizen of the United States for at least one month before the election.
  • Be a resident of Pennsylvania and the election district in which you want to register and vote for at least 30 days before the next election.
  • Be at least 18 years of age on or before the day of the next election.
